I haven’t been successful with keeping the scale hidden and staying OFF. Ya’ll it's a shameful confession that there are days that I rely on the scale religiously morning, noon, and night. I’m thinking about hiding it in my boyfriend’s trunk and pray that the decreasing temperatures in Virginia will halt my urge to retrieve it. I'm too lazy for the hassle anyway.
The numbers have been my short-lived victory, but mostly my demise! No matter how good of a workout I’ve had, or a solid week of water, and dinner before eight, I always let the numbers influence or discourage my attitude towards my weight journey.
By summer 2018 I'm trying to be walking into a smoothie bar with my arms out and my stomach flat, and my shades on, and my confidence on HIGH. Yeah, all of that, 'cause it's been mostly nothing these last couple of years.
I’m still working all 2018, so there’s hope to break the number curse.
The Tank Top Test: A measure without the monster.
I haven’t worn a tank top, and just a tank top, in YEARS. Stomach too wide. Stomach too big. If I can feel good in a tank top by the summer then it’s been a job well done.
And that’s the plan.
So…
I’m all for a sharing how this works, and challenging you to do the same!
You Just Need:
A. A tank top
B. Your favorite pair of jeans
C. Measuring Tape
D. A camera
I’ll be taking weekly pics of me and my tank and sharing with you along the way. If you’re doing this challenge with me make sure you tag me in your photos and hashtag #TankTopTest
1. First of all...get rid of the scale. We won’t need it anymore this season.
2. Take a before picture. Take several. I for one want to remember exactly what I DON’T want to see again.
And that’s IT! Keep track of it as often as you please. And print the photos. Walgreens prints for the low-low, and it’s super quick. Paste it in your fat diary and keep the momentum going. The year is still fairly new and I’m ready to make some lifelong changes!
